New Life Furniture is a ministry base out of Milford, Ohio which serves the entire Cincinnati/Tri-State area. The most unique aspect of this ministry is that volunteers collect gently used furniture from giving families and deliver the items directly to the homes of families in need. This eliminates the barrier of the receiving family having to find a way to go get the furniture items and bring them back to their home themselves. Many of the receiving families have been recently homeless. Some have suffered a recent accident or have fled from an abusive situation. In all cases the families we serve are in need, but have shown they are working diligently to better their life circumstances. Many live at or below the poverty level, making it difficult, if not impossible, for them to purchase basic items for their homes. It is our hope that we can in some small way ease their burden by providing some of the major pieces of furniture that make a basic living space a home. A major focus of our ministry is also that our volunteer team uplifts these individuals and families during the delivery visit by treating them with love, kindness, gentleness and respect. It is our goal that during our short time with them the receiving families will feel that they are cared for by someone that they don’t even know. Mission Statement: To assist families in need by providing gently used furniture to help make their house a home. Vision statement: To spread God’s love by showing the families we serve that they are cared for and loved. We hope to make their home more comfortable enabling them to focus on their families and their jobs.
In 2007, we delivered over 700 furniture items to over 80 families in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Furniture was donated by over 170 households. Projecting 2008 to be even busier, and we need you to make it happen!
